Department of Bioengineering for application to healthcare is the backbone of uninterrupted prompt health services for medical instrumentation, patients in outpatient, to those on operating tables, biomechanics of musculoskeletal systems, and neurorehabilitation.

It provides assistance for electromedical equipment for various department, pre installation, installation operation of equipment, prepurchase evaluation for safety at station, cost effective management, repair services, performance testing of medical equipment, inventory control, coordination of outside services and vendors.
Bioengineering department has its presence in clinical facilities from outpatient to operating rooms or intensive care units. Implementation of documentation protocols required by external accreditation and licensing agencies also equipment audit is efficiently done without interference with healthcare delivery with appropriate access control for safety and security. It has system for safe handling of any goods requiring access, firefighting on all sides inclusive.

Department has electronics and mechanical fabrication and testing system, be it a blood pressure apparatus, spirometer or ventilator Dialysis Machines, Electrosurgical Units – Surgical Cautery. Blood Gas Analyser. Defibrillator Baby Incubators. Multi para–Monitors Nebulizer Repair. System is for maintenance at site like -x-Ray, laboratory analysers, or smaller equipment which would be transported to the workshop with good electricity, store for spare parts and test equipment. provision like electrostatic workbench/testbench, pneumatic outlets etc Receipt and despatch area is suitably equipped for the handling and storage of components and materials.
Storage rooms and/or areas is well furnished for storage of items, working spare parts Consumable items (such as gaskets, bolts and nuts, etc.) in order to ensure a good medical equipment maintenance system A proper forecast is made on items like batteries, filters, valves, tunings etc. and are procured in advance to save time. Cleaning and lubricating material is also procured in advance with bigger quantity.
