“Mukeshbhai Rasiklal Patel Blood Bank” of department of Transfusion Medicine provides round the clock services of whole blood, Component therapy including Plasmapheresis, Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP); Plateletpheresis, (platelets), Leukapheresis, (white cells,) for transfusion, Stem Cell Harvesting, (circulating bone marrow cells).

NABH accredited facility through advanced testing with cutting edge equipment has strong focus on patient / donor safety, delivers modern transfusion medicine practices, backed by stringent quality control and seamless clinical coordination. Blood bank is dedicated to ensuring safe collection, processing, storage, and distribution of whole blood and components, adheres to National Blood Transfusion Council (NBTC) Food and Drug Administration (FDA) WHO standards, ensuring quality patient safety at every step. Bank offers Whole Human Blood, Packed Red Blood Cells (PRBC), Fresh Frozen Plasma (FFP), Platelet Concentrates (Random Donor & Single Donor via Apheresis), Cryoprecipitate (CRYO), Leuco-Reduced Blood Components. Pre-transfusion testing is mandatory as safety first is the MOTO. There is regular internal quality control & external proficiency testing, Blood grouping (ABO/Rh Typing), Cross-Matching (Major/Minor) Antibody Screening HIV 1 &2HepatitisB, C, E Syphilis Malaria Direct Coombs Test (DCT) Indirect Coombs Test (ICT) and storage for rare blood groups upon request.

Biomedical Waste Management is strictly as per state central pollution control boards norms .Walk-in Donors are encouraged, telling “one unit of Blood can save three lives, free health screening, safe, single-use equipment, donor certificate, and gratitude from BB and recipient and family” with awareness programs with District Blood Transfusion Committees ,Blood Donation Camps Department plays critical role in saving lives by supporting wide range of surgical, medical, and emergencies ensuring optimal support for patient care through timely ,safe blood and component delivery.
